Sumthing i've been thinkin of doing for a long time... Shapes, figures, outlines set against a dark and often surreal looking background.

A number of ppl from the photography group have asked about the actual process behind these pictures... I'll try my best to describe it as it is...

i used photoshop to create this effect using successive filters without adding any additional layers (there are other ways of going about it) ... contrast is a crucial factor and it's advisable that u choose high contrast images with defined edges... you might want to fool around with the color cast to get the desired effect... otherwise u can use the accented edges filter (under brush strokes) to create em... use the glowing edges filter to darken the background (don't forget to tweak with the default settings). in sum of these images i used the gaussian blur filter to take out the rough edges... finally, i used the diffuse glow effect to highlight the now glowing outlines.
